Vital Statistical Information
A death certificate is a legal document and it is necessary that the information given be accurate and spelled correctly. The following is information that is required for the death certificate:
Ray-Nowell Funeral Homes prepares the death certificate from this information. We coordinate with the signing of a physician's office and then hand deliver the information to the State Department of Vital Records for certification. Processing this form normally takes about 10 - 14 days. Our funeral home will give you an order form so that you can get the number of certified death certificates that you will need. To determine how many death certificates should be needed, you should consider the following:
Our funeral director will assist and guide you in placing the obituary in local and out-of-town newspapers. Some newspapers do charge a fee for the funeral notice. The family has the option to submit personal information that they wish to be in the obituary notice.
