Jessie “Jr.” Murlee Standard, 84, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at his home in Batesville, MS.

A member of Locke Station Baptist Church, he was truly devoted to his family and loved fixing anything and everything.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen Finn Standard of Batesville; three daughters, Sherry Wickshire and Terri Bright (Al) also of Batesville; and Bonnie Mitchell (Roger) of Sardis; two sons, Chris Standard (Claudine) of Sardis and Steve Standard (Debbie) of Oxford; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Lou Goss Standard and Jessie Murlee Standard; one sister, Sybil Collins; and two brothers, Leonard Standard and Audis Standard.
