Alma Ann ""Dolly""  Lynam (Davis)
Ann Davis Lynam, 86, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at her home in Batesville, MS. Ann was born on March 1, 1930 in Como, MS to Isaac Newton Davis and Louise LeMaster Davis and was lovingly named “Dolly” by her family.

She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Batesville and founded the Little Red Schoolhouse, where she taught kindergarten for many years. She loved the students and taught them as if they were her own children. She loved dogs of all kinds and sizes and was an avid reader and a supporter of the Batesville Library.

Ann is survived by her sister-in-law, Anne Davis of Como; two nieces, Louise Davis of Chicago, IL and Suzanne Brandon and husband David Brandon, Jr. of Memphis, TN; one nephew, Newt Davis and wife, Melissa Davis of Sardis; two great-nieces, Anna Payton Davis and Camille Brandon; and three great-nephews, Will Davis, David Brandon III, and Charles Brandon. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel William Crouch, her second husband Harold Burnell Lynam and her parents Isaac Newton Davis and Louise LeMaster Davis.
