Marcus Lavern Taylor, 69, of Senatobia, MS passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at North Delta Hospice House in Southaven, MS. He was born in Looxahoma, MS on May 7, 1947 to Mary Lockett Cox Taylor and Marcus Vernon Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by two sons, Michael Taylor (Aundrea) of Senatobia and Richard Taylor (Katherine) of Independence; one sister, Barbara Smith of St. Joseph, MO; one brother, William Taylor of Harmontown; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Louise Geeslin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Ray-Nowell Funeral Home – Senatobia Chapel. Visitation will precede the services from 10 a.m. -12p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Looxahoma Community Cemetery. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
