Mr. Joseph Gregory Ernest, 60, of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City, TN.

Greg was born in Memphis, TN on January 17, 1957 to The Late Bessie Elizabeth Rasberry Ernest and Joseph Lacy Ernest. He was employed with Wilson Trucking Company in Memphis, and proudly served his country for six years on active duty in the United States Army. Following his discharge from active duty, he continued serving in the Army Reserves for another twenty years.

He leaves behind his loving family, which includes his wife, Partricia Ernest of Senatobia, MS; one step-son, Kevin W. Ketron (Maria) of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and two brothers, James Michael Ernest (Linda) of Norcross, GA and Darrell Lee Ernest of Millington, TN. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Memrie Haney Butler and his parents.

A memorial service honoring Greg's life will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at 2pm in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday, in the funeral home, from 12-2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
