Amy Nannette Shipp Sissell, 88, of Batesville, MS, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Providence Assisted Living in Batesville. Mrs. Sissell was born in Lafayette County, on September 8, 1928, to The Late Nettie Lou Stafford and Clovious Bowen Shipp.

She was a member of Mt. Olivet Methodist Church, Friends of the Library and the PanGen Society. Mrs. Sissell is survived by two daughters, Nancy Parks Sissell Bridges (Gil) and Susan Frances Sissell Riddick (Taylor) and one son William Shipp Sissell (Denise), all of Batesville; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, William “Bill” Parks Sissell and her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, MS. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at the funeral home.
