Gladys Mae Thedford Barnes, 92, of Batesville, MS, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017, at University Medical Center in Jackson, MS.

She was born on March 18, 1925 to Rosie Foshee Thedford and William D. Thedford. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville and was a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Barnes is survived by three sons, Lawrence Joe Barnes (Beverly), Billy Duanne Barnes and William Mrs. Barnes is survived by three sons, Lawrence Joe Barnes (Beverly), Billy Duanne Barnes and William Dean Barnes; one sister, Barbara Nell Hatchet; thirteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents, two sons, one sister and two brothers.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday August 6, 2017, at Dickins Funeral Home. A private graveside service, for family only, will follow at Forrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
