Mrs. Minnie “Betty Jane” Wilson, 77, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at her home in Courtland, MS

She was born in Panola County on September 9, 1939 to Hattie Mae Anthony and Edward P. Ragon. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church and founder and of Bynum Fire Department, where she was a member and served as Vice President for the Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from the South Panola School District after 20 years of service as a school bus driver.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her loving family, which includes two daughters, Becky Everett of Courtland, MS and Gylia Devine of Gulfport, MS; two sons, Jerry Davis of Courtland, MS and Willie Wilson of Mobile, AL; one brother, Tony Ragon of Courtland, MS; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of forty nine years, Guy Russell Wilson; her parents; and one brother, Jimmy Ragon.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. MS. Burial will be in Liberty Hill Cemetery in Pope, MS. Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
