Obituary for Max Raymond Lindsey

Max Raymond  Lindsey
Max Raymond Lindsey, 78, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home in Sarah, MS.

He was born in Arkansas on October 21, 1939, to Tonie Hollis and Joe Lindsey. Mr. Lindsey was a retired truck driver and farmer, who was an active supporter of 4-H and FFA. He loved helping kids and was affectionately known in his neighborhood as “Paw”. Mr. Lindsey was a member of Flag Lake Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving family, which includes his wife of 45 years, Sarah Westbrook Lindsey of Sarah, MS; two daughters, Carla Johnson (Tony) of Senatobia, MS and Sherrie Jones (Dennis) of Lula, LA; two sons, Richard Lindsey and Wesley Lindsey, both of Sarah, MS; one sister, Phyllis Bryant of Benton, AR; one brother, Michael Joe Lindsey of Wilmer, AR; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Max Raymond Lindsey, Jr. and Joseph Earl Lindsey and his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 3 p.m. in Flag Lake Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Flag Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 12-3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flag Lake Cemetery Fund, c/o James Stevens, 1646 Hwy 4 West, Sarah, MS 38665. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
