Mrs. Sarah Westbrook Lindsey, 71, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Senatobia Health and Rehab in Senatobia, MS.

The youngest of 10 children, she was born in Arkansas on August 18, 1946, to Ozella Layne and Thomas Westbrook and truly enjoyed being the baby of the family. She was a member of Flag Lake Baptist Church. She loved children and was affectionately called “Nana” by those in the community. A homemaker and great cook, she was also an active supporter of 4-H and FFA.

Mrs. Lindsey is survived by her loving family, which includes; two daughters, Carla Johnson (Tony) of Senatobia, MS and Sherrie Lindsey Jones (Dennis) of Lula, LA; two sons, Richard Lindsey and Wesley Lindsey, both of Sarah, MS; one sister, Doris Cook; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Max Raymond Lindsey; three sons, Charles Thurmond, Max Raymond Lindsey, Jr. and Joseph Earl Lindsey, two sisters, six brothers and her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Flag Lake Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Flag Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 12-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flag Lake Cemetery Fund, c/o James Stevens, 1646 Hwy 4 West, Sarah, MS 38665. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
