Mr. J.T. Parker, 80, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at this home in Batesville, MS.

Mr. Parker was born on December 6, 1937, in Bruce, MS to Willie Murphree and Buren Ervin Parker. He was a member of Batesville Church of Christ and was a preacher for fourteen years in Brazil, MS.

Mr. Parker is survived by his loving family, which includes his wife of sixty-one years, Mary Bynum Parker of Batesville, MS; two sons, James Parker (Pam) and Larry Parker (Brenda), all of Pope, MS; five sisters, Shirley Miller (Ralph) of Scott City, MO, Linda Williams (Cecil) of Houlka, MS, Nancy Patton, of Bruce, MS, Kathy Simpson (Robert) of Calhoun City, MS and Patsy Parker of Tupelo, MS; one brother, Jimmy Parker of Bruce, MS; seven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the chapel of Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville, MS, followed by interment in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sardis Lake Christian Camp, 176 4-H Club Rd, Batesville, MS 38606. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
