Hayse Merrell Nelson, Jr. 65, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at his home in Memphis, TN.

He was born in Memphis on October 25, 1952 to The Late Louise Davis Nelson and Hayse Nelson. He had many interests such as the arts, antique collecting and gardening. He was also a car enthusiast and enjoyed bike riding.

Mr. Nelson is survived by one daughter, Natalie Ruggiero (Evan) of Greenville, SC; his mother, Louise Davis Arnold of Sardis, MS; two sisters, Sheila Parker (Marion) of Oakland, MS and Valeria Duke of Winona, MS and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Hayse Nelson.

A graveside service, followed by burial will be held at 2 p.m., on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
