Thomas "Tommy" Albert Florence, Jr., 66, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2016 at his home in Batesville, MS.

A graduate of Mississippi State University, he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy and was farmer and horse trainer. He was a member of Pope Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher and deacon. He loved his family and his dog “Griz”.

Mr. Florence, is survived by his wife of 41 years, Amy Stone Florence of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Eve Florence Sprouse (Brian) and Kate Florence Pope (Chris) all of Pope, MS; one son, Will Florence of Grove Hill, AL; one sister, Margaret Barnhart of Atalissa, IA and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rosa Leigh Pou Florence and Thomas Albert Florence, Sr. Memorial donations may be made to Pope Baptist Church Building Fund, 6835 Pope-Crowder Rd., Pope, MS 38658.
