Mr. Willard James Elliott, 81, of Oakland, MS, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford.

Mr. Elliott, a retired truck driver, was born on May 7, 1936 to The Late Cara McMillan Elliott and Porter Thomas Elliott. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and nature.

Mr. Elliott leaves behind his loving family which includes his wife, Evelyn Elliott of Oakland; two daughters, Martha Gean Willis and Brenda Sue Markland; one son, James Willard Elliott; two sisters, Brenda Jean Keith and Martha Sue Sumpter; two brothers, Tommy W. Elliott and Terry Ray Elliott; and six grandchildren.

The family may hold a private memorial service at a later date.
