Betty Joyce Tidwell, 77, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Diversicare of Batesville. She was born on May 17, 1940 to The Late Virginia Catherine Perkins and Marvin Caldwell Tidwell.

She was a member of the Batesville Presbyterian Church. She was a homemaker and loved traveling with her partner and enjoyed gardening.

Ms. Tidwell is survived by one niece, Tisha Joyner Wallace and her husband AL; three great-nieces, Taylor Gurley, Emma Claire Wallace, and Gracie Wallace; and Eurel Joyner, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Karen Tidwell Joyner and partner-in-life, Dr. Mustafat Abdulrahman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Interment will be private. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12-1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017. In lieu of flowers, memorials may sent to the charity of the donor’s choice. Dickins Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
