Mrs. Patsy L. Barnett, 68, of Sardis, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Barnett was born on September 10, 1948 to The Late Vernie Berry Bolen and Charles T. Bolen. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and gardening and loved flowers. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, and she loved each of them dearly. She also loved the holidays, her favorite of which was Christmas, both for her love of her Lord and Savior, and for the family time that it brought.

She leaves behind her loving family which includes her husband, Glenn Barnett of Sardis; her daughter, Lisa Ward (Bobby) of Sardis; her sister, Jane Hayzelett of Crenshaw; her three brothers, Gary Bolen (Mimi) of Water Valley, William Bolen of Strayhorn, and Wayne Bolen (Cathy) of Crenshaw; two grandchildren, Alyson Hamm (Stephen) and Megan Price (Richard, Jr.); and three great-grandchildren, Sarah, Katie and Connor Hamm. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bud Bolen.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017, at 2pm in Union Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Hickey officiating. Interment will follow in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 from 6-8pm in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home.
