Mrs. Mary Lois Caldwell Michael, 86, of Como, MS passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Christopher's Assisted Living in Holly Springs, MS.
Mrs. Michael was born on June 3, 1931 in Cotton Plant, MS to The Late Lula Irene Snell Caldwell and Walter R. Caldwell. She spent her life faithfully caring for her family. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her family was the most important thing in her life, second only to her Lord and Savior. A member of Como Baptist Church, she was a Godly woman, who will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Michael leaves behind her loving family which includes her daughters, Mary Jane Michael Sanders (Clay), Walta Lynn Michael Parker, and Elizabeth Ann Michael Walley, all of Como, MS; her son, Jay Clyde Michael (Mailza) of Ft. Pierce, FL; six grandchildren, Angela Sanders Schideler, Jessica Sanders Wilson, Richard Walley, Jonathan Howe, Seth Parker, and Hannah Grace Michael; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Jerry "J.B." Michael; three sisters; five brothers; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at 3pm in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Dr. Lannie Wilbourn officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Como. Visitation will be held on Saturday in the funeral home from 2pm until service time at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
