Obituary for Mecklin Tarver

Mecklin  Tarver
Mr. Mecklin Aubrey Tarver, 68, of Coldwater, MS, formerly of Surgoinsville, TN, passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Baptist Memorial Hospital - DeSoto in Southaven.

Mecklin was born on May 12, 1949 in Raleigh, MS to The Late Lelar Sevela Tarver and Fred J. Tarver. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Germany. Mr. Tarver owned and operated a trucking business until his retirement. He loved country music and traveling and recently began learning about God and his faith. He built his own houses which he was proud of; however, most of all he loved his family.

Mr. Tarver leaves behind one sister, Helen S. Jahn of San Leon, TX; three brothers, William Tarver of Coldwater, MS, Bubba Tarver of Waco, TX, and Jimmy Tarver of Senatobia, MS; two sons; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Linda Tarver; five sisters, Geneva Hudspeth, Laverne Ray, Emma Gene Pierce, Patsy A. Shelton, and Connie C. Hopkins; three brothers, Kermit D. Tarver, Bobby J. Tarver, and Johnny C. Tarver; and his parents.

A private memorial service is currently being planned for a later date.

Ray-Nowell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
