Clifton Skip Goodwin, 71, of Batesville, MS passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North MS in Oxford.

He was born on May 8, 1946 in Batesville, MS to Ruth Anne May and Robert Goodwin. He was a painter for 40 years and worked for Lawrence brothers. He also loved living plants and was also an avid gardener.

Mr. Goodwin is survived by his daughter, Amanda Weeks (Edward) of Batesville, MS; his son, Preston Goodwin, of Oxford, MS; two brothers, Bill Goodwin of Batesville, MS and Albert Goodwin of Pope, MS; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Vaughn and Betty Lowe; one brother, Bob Goodwin; and his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Dickins Funeral Home in Batesville; MS. Burial will be in Blackjack Cemetery in Panola County. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at Dickins Funeral Home.
