Mrs. Deweese was born on September 21, 1933 in Philadelphia, MS to The Late Nora Hogue Collins and Earl Collins. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who was always devoted to her family. She will be deeply missed not just by her family, but by her community.

Mrs. Deweese leaves behind her loving family to cherish her memory which includes her daughter, Martha Dunavant (David) of Memphis, TN; two brothers, Jerry Wayne Collins and James Larry Collins, both of Noxapater, MS; four grandchildren, Jonathan Dunavant, Kristin Dunavant, David Dunavant (Shannon), and Michael Dunavant (Julie), all of Memphis, TN; six great-grandchildren; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Clois Devon "Dee" Deweese; her parents; and eight siblings.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 11am in the First Baptist Church in Coldwater, MS with Bro. Brad Burnette, Bro. TIm Smith, and Bro. Paul Husband officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be held in the church on Tuesday from 10am until service time at 11am.
