Obituary for Jerry Dale Clark

Jerry Dale Clark, 79, of Senatobia, MS, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at North Delta Hospice in Southaven, MS.

He was born on October 12, 1938, in Tate County to Lucille Lewis and Herman Lee Clark. A lifelong resident of Tate County, Dale was a member of Hebron Methodist Church in the Wakefield community and was a board member of the Tate County Planning Commission. He proudly served his country as a member of the Mississippi Army National Guard and retired from American Airlines after 36 years of employment. He was a devoted family man who deeply loved his children and grandchildren, who affectionally called him “Pop”.

Dale is survived by his loving family, which includes two daughters, DeLane Clark Mabry (Paul) and Christy Lee Clark, both of Senatobia; one son Jerry L. Clark (Ellen) of Senatobia; two sisters, Yvone Emmons of Saltillo, TN and Peggy Turman, Sardis, MS; and four grandchildren, Kyle Mabry (Chelsea), Katie Mabry, Mitch Clark and J.W. Clark. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Kathryn Wallace Clark; his parents; and his brother, Harry L. Russwurm.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in the Senatobia Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Rev. Carrie Mayo officiating. Interment will follow in New Garden Cemetery in Independence. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hebron Methodist Church, PO Box 1292, Senatobia, MS 38668. Ray-Nowell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
