Mr. Troy D. Harrell, 48, of Memphis, TN and Sardis, MS, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at his home in Memphis.

Troy was born on August 24, 1970 in Boulder, CO to Laura Jones Harrell and James Harrell. He was a self-employed general contractor, a former manager for Bobcat in Billings, MT, and a former manager for A & B Buildings in Sheridan, WY. Troy was a very outgoing person who made friends with everyone. He loved life and was never afraid of a challenge, rather he faced them head on. He always encouraged others to pursue their dreams. Troy loved the outdoors, especially fishing and horseback riding, and he will be missed by his family and his many friends around the world.

Troy leaves behind his loving family which includes his parents, James and Laura Harrell; his brother, Tab Harrell, all of Sardis, MS; and his aunts and uncles, Kevin Harrell of Richland, MO, Jerry and Guy Ann Hawver and John Scott, all of Hutchinson, KS, and Steve and Michelle Scott of Wichita, KS.

A memorial service to honor Troy's life will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 11am in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the funeral home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
