Obituary for Richard Kenneth Patrick

Mr. Richard Kenneth Patrick, 50, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2019, at his home near Sardis.

Richard was born on May 11, 1968 in Memphis, TN to Carol Lynn Wootten Patrick and Marty Patrick. He was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and proudly served in the Mississippi Army National Guard for 10 years. He was a member of Steamfitters Local 614 in Memphis and was an avid guitarist and an amazing musician. Above all else, he was a loving father and grandfather. His world revolved around his beautiful daughters, who will all miss him deeply.

Mr. Patrick leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory which includes his daughters, Mary Patrick of Memphis, TN, Emily Patrick of Colorado Springs, CO, and Megan Patrick of San Diego, CA; his parents, Carol Brasher and Marty Patrick (Darlene), of Sardis, MS; four sisters, Carol Ragon of Courtland, MS, Louise Green of Moultrie, GA, Sarah Toliver of Sardis, MS, and Jessica Brasher of San Antonio, TX; his grandparents, C.B. Patrick, Jr. of Sardis, MS and Elsie Jean Wootten of Batesville, MS; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard Wootten and Frances Patrick.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 12pm in the Sardis United Methodist Church with Rev. David Laird and Bro. Hal Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held in the church on Saturday from 11am until service time at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org, to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or to Sardis United Methodist Church.
