Leslie Lee Johnson, 69, of Batesville, MS, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi in Oxford, MS.

He attended Victory Baptist Church, loved his family and was extremely proud of his grandchildren. He was especially devoted to his puppy, “Pepper”, was a coin collector and loved Christmas. Although, he was a plain and simple man, everything had to be “just right” or in its place,

Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife of fifty years, Elizabeth Ann Berryhill Johnson of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Rita Jean Williams of Enid, MS and Theresa Lynn Fennel of Courtland, MS; three brothers, Charles Thomas Johnson of Memphis, TN, Earnest Gene Johnson of Courtland, MS and Roy Larry Johnson of Petal, MS; and four grandchildren, Cody Williams, Ethan Williams, Jacob Fennel and Kayla Fennel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raybert Lee Johnson and Minnie Etta Bankston Johnson. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
