Jennie Chism, 83, of Sardis, MS, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at her home in Sardis.

Mrs. Chism was born on September 18, 1933 in Lepanto, AR. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Sardis where she helped in the nursery for many years. Mrs. Jennie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved everybody.

She is survived by three daughters, Judy Ann Mooney of Blackfish, AR, Annette Chism Baldwin of Como, MS, and Barbara Gail Chism of Pensacola, FL; two sons, Mitchell Wayne Chism of Sardis, MS and Daniel Rex Chism of Harrisburg, AR; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rev. Marvin D. Chism and her son, Donald Maurice Chism.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 2pm in the Sardis Chapel of Ray-Nowell Funeral Home with Rev. Sonny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 12pm-2pm.
