Obituary for Annie Marshall Gough (Cockerham)

Annie Marshall Gough (Cockerham)
Mrs. Annie Marshall Cockerham Gough, 84, died on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 with her family by her side.

Annie was born on October 23, 1932 to The Late Evie Moore Cockerham and Charles Marshall Cockerham. She adored her family, friends, growing beautiful flowers, and all things golf related. She was a tireless advocate for Hope Ministries and a longtime participant in the Homemakers/Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was very active in the Mississippi Women's Golf Association, a first-rate bridge player and an excellent cook who took great joy in preparing fabulous meals for her family and friends.

Annie leaves behind her loving family which includes her children, Greg (Stephanie) Gough and Gayla (Alan) Lindsey; her four grandchildren, Katherine (Ryan) Davis, Jonathan Lindsey, Taylor Gough, and Emilee Gough; her sisters-in-law, Eloise Ellis, Helen Gough, and Sally Gough; her brother-in-law, Grover McDonald; as well as many nieces, nephews, and precious friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Leland Gough.

Annie was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all, but she is now rejoicing with Jesus, her precious Leland, her dear sisters, Doris, Chris, Rose, and Bobbie as well as her heartfriend, Joy, who have now all welcomed her home.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11am in the First Baptist Church in Senatobia with Rev. Chris Williams, Rev. Clay Moore, and Rev. Cliff Pace officiating. Interment will follow in Senatobia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Welcome Center in the church on Saturday from 10am - 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, Senatobia or to Magnolia Heights School in Senatobia.
