Michael Shayne Smith, 48, of Sardis, MS passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018, at his home near Sardis, MS.

Shayne was born on January 17, 1970 in Memphis, TN to Melanie Tucker Smith and Stanley A. Smith. He was a loving brother, son, and friend. Anyone who knew him knew his many talents. He was best known for his wonderful ability to cook and entertain. Shayne was so very generous with his time and talents and he blessed many with his love and friendship.

Shayne leaves behind his loving family which includes his parents, Melanie Lynch (George) of Oxford, MS and Stan Smith (Linda) of Sardis, MS; and two sisters, Misty Stupal (Andrej) of Oxford, MS and Amber Browning (Michael) of Batesville, MS.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2018, at 2pm in Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church near Batesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, 60 Hunt Road, Batesville, MS 38606.
