Long live The Rev.

The Right Reverend Robert Earl Reed was a guy whom I'd never met, but I loved. A selfless, giving person who always wanted to support the music scene lost a true champion of the people. It saddens me that we never got to work on some projects we talked about, and he never was able to perform at this years MoonRunners Festival. I cannot say enough good things about his wisdom and patience. Losing him is devastating on many levels, and though we were friends through social media, and through our love of underground country music, I cannot fathom the sorrow his family must feel. I truly want all of his family to know that, we at moonrunnerscountry.com loved The Rev deeply, and we will always champion him as a lion of a man who is gone much too soon. I can only do my best to honor his memory, but know it will never be in vain. I thought of him as a friend, and someone who I would call a collaborator when we could stitch together a moment to create art. We lost a fantastic man this week, and many lives are worse off in his absence.
